Bicycles have been a love of mine since the age of three, when I got my first Huffy. In the beginning bicycles were a way to spend time with friends and push each other. Today the same is true when we are out riding our mountain bikes. I have ridden a lot of bikes over the years having started with dirt jumping and downhill. I have expanded my arsenal to include trail bikes, commuters, as well as a gravel bikes.

Aside from my love of cycling, I have a passion for building things and developing relationships.  Drake Cycles has provided me the opportunity to incorporate all three of the passions into one.

At Drake Cycles we are first and foremost riders, it is that knowledge that helps us build and cultivate the positive relationships we have with the Northern Colorado community.  Drake cycles was founded on a passion for bicycles and to create a place where riders could get their bikes services by serious riders.  It has grown into a full service shop focused on relationships with the community and customers.  From the custom made fixtures to the most extensive of bike repairs, Drake Cycles is proud to be a part of the Northern Colorado cycling community and I look forward to seeing you in the shop and on the trail, let’s get out and ride!

I’ve been working at Drake Cycles since 2012, so almost since the beginning. But way before working at Drake Cycles, I was riding dirt jumps and racing downhill bikes. These days I’ve dialed it back and I mainly trail ride and get out on some good road rides! I’ve been fixing bikes since I was twelve in my parent’s garage. Other than that, I ski in the winter and love long walks on the beach. Just kidding, we live in Colorado. Anyways, this is just a small bit about me. Come meet me in person at the shop and let’s chat about all the funnzies.

The home-town team, is my team. Born at Poudre Valley Hospital here in Fort Collins, I had a short-lived stint as a Buffaloes fan as a young naïve kid, eventually returning to the good side, home of the green and gold. My passion for bikes goes back to those days, young boys prowling the city streets and expanding our territory, our knowledge of our community. It is a privilege to work at the best bike shop in the choice city, and ride among such a great cycling culture. Thanks for the opportunity Fort Collins and surrounding area!

I am yet another Colorado transplant from Texas. I have an amazing wife Kate and two fun and active kids Ellie and Kaleb. I love doing anything outdoors with my family and enjoying the amazing cycling in and around Fort Collins.

I fell in love with cycling when some climbing friends took me mountain biking at Cameron Park in Waco, Texas. Things grew from there as a friend introduced me to road cycling in the Texas hill country. It didn’t take long before I sought out a job in a bike shop, which stuck as I continued working in bike shops the last 7 years while we were living in Austin, Texas.

I love road cycling, mountain biking and commuting around town, but I do put most of the miles on the road bike. I currently ride a Kona Explosif steel hardtail for my mountain bike. My commuter is a fun city build on a 1970s Schwinn Paramount frame that a friend in Austin gifted me. My road bike will soon be the redesigned new 2020 Cannondale Evo, which you can find me frequently riding on along the dam roads!
